Who You Are Implementation Engineer You are looking for an opportunity to apply your experience with enterprise information systems, from GIS to CMMS, from hydraulic modeling to SCADA and customer information systems, and other utility software to help utilities advance their digital transformation and modernization journey. You want to execute and manage work on exciting, cutting-edge projects, help ensure excellent customer relationships, and deliver meaningful solutions for decision support to the next-generation utility. In addition, and as a plus (but not required), you are interested in supporting business development opportunities. What You’ll Do: Duties, Roles, and Opportunities
  • Implement Company’s SaaS solution for utility customers by following established workflows and documentation
  • Gather, understand, analyze, and deploy customer’s Geographic Information System (GIS) data in Sedaru’s cloud based GIS infrastructure as Web Map Services
  • Gather/establish integration interface/web service end points with other enterprise information systems such as Enterprise Asset Management (EAM), Automated Metering (AMI/AMR), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), Network Monitoring devices, Hydraulic Modeling engines, and other related analytics services
  • Configure profiles for web and mobile applications
  • Keep internal and external stakeholders up-to-date with project progress status (budget, schedule, and potential roadblocks)
  • Execute Quality Control and Quality Assurance measures to ensure optimum customer configurations
  • Improve existing workflows and develop new ones where necessary to improve efficiency and productivity and to clearly document the implementation process for internal and external (partner) resources
  • Provide input into the direction and enhancements of the Sedaru software
  • Occasional travel to project sites for project management, information discovery, and training
  • Support proposals, deliver conference presentations, participate in local or national industry organizations, and other related business development opportunities
  • Participate in improving company resources and tools to consistently improve efficiencies

  • You have 3-5 years’ experience in GIS/Asset Management or similar software
  • You have sound experience with ArcGIS Desktop, Server, and Online with optional experience in scripting (ArcPy)
  • You have a solid understanding of water utility data structure and data models
  • You are very proficient in Excel and Access
  • You have experience with Relational Databases such as MS SQL Server, Oracle or similar and are proficient in Structured Query Language (SQL)
  • You have, at minimum, a basic understanding of web technologies including Web Services, REST, JSON, XML, HTML5, JavaScript and Cloud Computing
  • You have a proven track record of contributing to and delivering successful projects
  • You have a passion for technology, and delivering solutions with and for customers
  • You have a B.S. degree minimum, in Engineering, GIS, or related
  • You have project management experience in enterprise system integration projects (prefer cloud-based deployment experience)
  • You are interested in working from home or in an office in Los Angeles, or other (CO, AZ, NorCal, or other) with a team that matches your drive to consistently improve
  • Knowledge of Hydraulic Modeling Concepts
  • Experience in report building and data sharing
