Sedaru Applications Engineer

About the Opportunity

Sedaru is looking for a person with a passion for and interest in enabling the digital utility enterprise with next-gen technology, from dynamic asset management to real-time operations and everywhere in-between.

This position incorporates real-time data, web-maps, GIS/GIS Server, business information system integrations, data analytics, and related cutting-edge technology to deploy Sedaru’s enterprise utility management system to some of the most progressive water, wastewater, and public works utilities in the United States. The Sedaru Applications Engineer leads and contributes to Sedaru customer deployments, optimal workflow development, product support, product testing, training, documentation, and related GIS & business system integration services which may include and not be limited to integrations with GIS, CMMS, SCADA, AMI/AMR, LIMS, Hydraulic Modeling, Sensor-networks, and more.

The successful candidate will work independently and in a team environment, supporting deployments at large and small utilities.

About You

First, and foremost, you are highly motivated and welcome the challenges of personal and professional growth. You are a comfortable communicator and can deliver thoughts verbally and in writing.You bring over 5 years’ experience in GIS consulting, utility information systems integrations, and/or related business systems integrations, with strong technical skills such as: ArcGIS Server, XML, APIs, Oracle & SQL Databases, Power BI, data analytics, in support of water/wastewater/public works operations and planning, with a love for software, technology, and customer service (both internal and external customers).Familiarity and/or exposure to hydraulic modeling, master planning, condition assessment/asset management planning is a plus.

You love to talk shop, and you’re an IT/data geek, or you want to become one because you love helping utilities solve problems. Your education might include GIS, database administration, software development, civil/environmental engineering or related, and you’re interested in a dynamic work environment with an amazing team and culture of data/software/next-gen technology evangelists. You’re good working from home, or more preferred for this role, out of the company’s San Dimas HQ, or in Los Angeles to help support SoCal/NorCal, and national customers.
